# Features and functionality removed in Windows 11

Windows 11 adds new features and functionality; however some features are removed. Below is a summary of features and functionalities that are present in earlier versions of Windows 10 or Windows 11, but are removed in the specified version of Windows 11. **The list below is subject to change and might not include every affected feature or functionality.**

The following features and functionalities have been removed from the installed product image for Windows 11. Applications or code that depend on these features won't function in the release when it was removed, or in later releases.
