## Exchange experience on Surface devices in need of repair
When receiving an exchange service order directly from a customer, Microsoft automatically checks for Windows Autopilot service enrollment and then deregisters the device from the customers tenant. Upon shipping back to the customer, Microsoft ensures the replacement device is enrolled into Windows Autopilot.
