Get package SAS URI API

Applies to:

• Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection (Microsoft Defender ATP)

Get a URI that allows downloading of an investigation package.

Permissions

One of the following permissions is required to call this API. To learn more, including how to choose permissions, see Use Microsoft Defender ATP APIs

Note

When obtaining a token using user credentials:

• The user needs to have at least the following role permission: 'Alerts Investigation' (See Create and manage roles for more information)
• The user needs to have access to the machine, based on machine group settings (See Create and manage machine groups for more information)

Response

If successful, this method returns 200, Ok response code with object that holds the link to the package in the “value” parameter. This link is valid for a very short time and should be used immediately for downloading the package to a local storage.
